Book Review – Under Ontario Skies

Under Ontario Skies

Sweet, Refreshing, Slow burn

Presley Jones has had enough heartache in her life, so when the new guy starts taking an interest in her, she’s guarded.  She’s positive Deon Martinez is a player and wants nothing to do with him, other than looking at his beautiful features from afar.  When fate places them together we learn about Deon’s past, why he is looking for a new start. I loved watching their relationship unfold.

YA readers will love this story between these two sweethearts. The backstory for Presley and Deon is well crafted and brings tonal color to the story.  Presley is very relatable, and I found myself aching for her as she deals with her loss. The side characters of Presley’s best friend, Maddy and Deon’s little sister, Bree, are a delight and provide the perfect harmony.

Special thanks to Chiara Malwana for letting me read “Under Ontario Skies” as an ARC.  Be aware, this book does end on a cliffhanger, but it’s totally worth it. This is an excellent debut and a terrific kick-off to a new series!

Chiara Malwana has a hit on her hands!
