How I came to cast romances against the backdrop of a noble cause.

If you’ve read my books at all, you know that I usually have some noble cause or important issue that I have in the background of the romance. It started in an organic way, really. Once Beholden to You was finished, I started working on Beloved by You and continuing with the theme of Atherton Diamonds.

It took me to Botswana. Francistown was the closest large city near many of the mines in Botwana. While working out Janet’s purpose in that story, I had known for many years about the HIV crises and its impact on families and orphaned children in Africa.

It had become something very common in that part of the world. Having friends who have been stricken with HIV, it is a cause close to my heart.

If you haven’t had a chance to read Beloved by You, I encourage you to pick it up. It’s one of my favorite books and I guarantee you won’t disappointed. In fact to encourage you even more, I thought it would be great to do a fun giveaway of 3 copies of my eBook, Beloved by You. All you need to do is follow me on Amazon. Is he the one that got away, or not? I was sure I did the right thing when I walked away from him. Did I miss those piercing eyes and dark curls? Yeah. Those heated kisses and his strong hands? Oh yeah. But, the billionaire heir to Atherton Diamonds was more interested in partying with models than being serious. I needed to move on. Make something meaningful out of my life. So, I left, and Andrew became just somebody that I used to know. Now, almost a decade later, I had put him out of my mind. Running the orphanage, A Place for Grace, in Botswana is making the difference I’d always hoped to make. Fighting corruption and creating a home for AIDS stricken families was enough for me. But then, it all came apart when Andrew literally crashed back into my life. Is he still the same self-absorbed pretty boy I knew and loved? Or can we build the true partnership that we once dreamed of?
